Hey hey, my love! I hope all is well on your end.
Today, I’d like to focus on the unique process that I use with my private clients called The Thriving Artist Method. A lot of people ask me what it is, so I thought I’d take some time to provide a general overview and then dive deeper into each section in subsequent newsletter issues.
Okay so ... The Thriving Artist Method is all about being the thriving working artist you know you’re here to be with a fabulous lifestyle offstage as well. It’s about trusting yourself, your higher self, and allowing your inner wisdom to be your guide.
I believe mastering The Thriving Artist Method is the fastest, most powerfully holistic way to get into alignment so that you can:
The real work in becoming a thriving working artist is to know who you want to be, what you want to do, and what you want to have in this lifetime. And ... maybe you’re thinking to yourself, ‘But Keenah, I don’t really know what I want!’ I am here to challenge that belief. I think you do know what you want, and I think you need to give yourself permission to dream big, desire deeply, trust yourself, follow your heart, and feel worthy and deserving of all the wealth and abundance that life has to offer.
Over the next few issues, I will really drill down into each section of The Thriving Artist Method (TAM) and how to apply it to your performing career and lifestyle offstage.
But first I have an interesting statistic for you. Are you aware that over 95% of our lives are controlled by the subconscious mind? According to brain science, we think our conscious minds are making all of the decisions, but in fact, we are sentient beings, and it’s our subconscious mind that actually decides, and then our thinking mind follows. Crazy right? I don’t know about you, but I’ve been conditioned to believe it was the other way around. Nope. If you want to geek out more on this, check out this article in this week’s Goodie Bag section
You may be asking why you should care about this interesting tidbit of brain science. But have you fully considered what it actually means to be a sentient being? Well, have you ever experienced feelings of unworthiness, self-doubt, inadequacy, people-pleasing, or ‘who do you think you are-ness’ with people ‘behind the table’? Are you aware that they can pick up on (or sense) that on a subconscious level? Those emotions can even be picked up through emails, and self-tape submissions, too.
You can appear to be the total package, but the creative team could pass on you because something feels ‘just not right.’ So if you relate and find yourself struggling to live life on your terms, you now know it’s because your subconscious mind is not on board! And that is why I created TAM. TAM is broken down into 3 main pillars:
Magnetic Identity is doing the inner work of becoming the irresistible thriving artist you know you’re here to be. It’s when you embody a spirit of excellence; it’s when confidence, clarity, and certainty ooze out of you, making you and your artistry enticing and alluring.
Magnetic Brand Authority is creating your unique ‘blue sea’ or ‘whitespace.’ By building brand authority, you authentically stand out in an overly saturated industry, rendering any concept of competition irrelevant. As a result, you go from competing and comparing yourself to others to creating and sharing your gifts.
Last but certainly not least is creating a Magnetic Fabulous Lifestyle offstage, as well. I see it repeatedly − well-trained, talented artists who find themselves struggling fall into 1 of 2 camps.
They must perform. It’s why you’re here on the planet. So you resign yourself to a life of scarcity. You give up practically everything to be this artist. It’s almost as if you feel unworthy of having a great lifestyle offstage because there is some faulty belief that it’s enough to just get to be an artist so, you accept crumbs everywhere else in life. In other words ... The Starving Artist Syndrome.
You don’t pursue your big dreams, desires, and goals as an artist because you don’t trust that you can have both. Or even worse − maybe you find yourself falling into self-deception by convincing yourself you’re going to do it once things fall into place. So, you postpone your dreams and goals for months, years, and even decades − aka The Starving Artist Syndrome.
To be a thriving artist, you need all 3 pillars working together. If you don’t have ‘Magnetic Identity,’ you lack confidence, clarity, and certainty. If you don’t know who you are and where you want to go, how can you authentically stand out in the industry in a powerful way? If you lack ‘Magnetic Brand Authority,’ you risk being sucked into trying to people-please your way to success by comparing yourself and trying to be like everyone else or applying the same marketing strategies everyone else is using. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you how hard it is to stand out because you’re thrown into the noise alongside everyone else. Can you say ‘vanilla zone?’
And without lifestyle?! Well ... come on now. What’s the point? If you don’t have a magnetic fabulous, dare I say luxe lifestyle offstage, you find yourself forced into a life of constant struggle, scarcity, limitations, stress, no pleasure, and no fun. I mean ... if we ain’t having fun, what the hell’s the point?
That’s why you need all three. If you don’t, that’s when things fall flat. It’s like trying to bake a cake without adding the eggs. Fail!
I’m really trying to say that when you shift yourself from the inside out, you open up a portal that allows others to shift their perspective of you. They begin to see something in you that is powerful, new, unique, and different that they’ve never seen before. Suddenly, you’re being seen in a whole new light making you, your brand, and your artistry magnetic, alluring, and irresistible. And that’s where the desired results you’re looking for are.
But, my love, it starts with you first, which is why I created The Thriving Artist Method. And it’s also the basis of why I created the Thriving Artist Toolkit.
